FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Gridiron Guide stream NFL games?

No. Gridiron Guide is a schedule, score, and viewing guide. It helps identify where a game is available and can open supported third-party apps or websites.

Why does a game show a different local network than I expected?

Local broadcast availability can vary by market. Confirm your ZIP code or use the optional location feature in Settings to identify your local TV market.

Why did Watch open a provider homepage instead of the exact game?

Some providers support direct game links while others expose only a general app or website destination. Gridiron Guide uses the most specific supported link available and may fall back to the provider's main destination.

Why are fantasy leaders unavailable for a game?

Fantasy leader information depends on player statistics returned by the game-data provider. It is shown for live and final games when the required statistics are available.

Does Gridiron Guide require location access?

No. Location access is optional and is only requested after you choose Use location in Settings. You may enter a ZIP code instead.

Overview

Gridiron Guide is designed to work without user accounts, advertising, analytics SDKs, or a developer-operated backend. The developer does not collect, sell, or use personal information for advertising or tracking.

Location and ZIP Code

Location access is optional. Gridiron Guide requests location only after you choose Use location in Settings. Approximate coordinates are used on your device to estimate your local television market.

If you enter a ZIP code, it is used on your device to determine an estimated television market. Your saved ZIP code, estimated market, and related cached settings may be stored locally on your device so the app does not need to repeat the lookup on every launch.

Gridiron Guide does not send your precise location or ZIP code to the developer.

Game and Reference Data

The app connects to third-party internet services to retrieve public NFL schedule, score, player-statistics, broadcast, and market-reference data. These requests are used to provide the app's core functionality.

As with normal internet connections, the third-party service receiving a request may receive technical network information such as an IP address according to that service's own privacy practices. Gridiron Guide does not operate those services and does not receive or store their server logs.

Local Storage

Gridiron Guide stores certain preferences and cached app data locally on your device. This can include provider preferences, favorite teams, schedule and score caches, final-game fantasy leaders, ZIP/market settings, and other settings needed to make the app faster and preserve your choices.

This locally stored information is not used by the developer for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.

Third-Party Apps and Websites

When you tap a Watch button or other provider link, Gridiron Guide may open a third-party app or website such as a television network or streaming service. Once you leave Gridiron Guide, that third party's terms and privacy policy apply.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Gridiron Guide does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking technology in the current version.

Children's Privacy

Gridiron Guide does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account or user profile.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated if Gridiron Guide's features or data practices change. The "Last updated" date above will be revised when material changes are made.
